I spend a lot of time thinking about glue.

I grew up compulsively playing Mario Paint and making weekly train trips to the dirty streets of 90's NYC. Still to this day nothing gets me quite as excited as a good city scape or the childish comfort of 16-bit music. Like most artist, I'm a pack rat, particularly I can not comfortably turn away a piece of good (albeit maybe torn or wet) piece of paper. My love affair with paper began in high school. Too poor to afford "real" art supplies, I starting cutting up the newspaper and my mother's home and garden magazines.

Today I garner a lot of my inspiration from oddly whimsical things: outdated subway maps, the swirling colors on peaches and plums, my day job as a preschool teacher never fails to inspire.

I love doing commissions. If you are interested in creating something one of a kind, send me an email and we can figure out the details. Give me an idea, even if you haven't completely figured it out yourself yet, and we can work together to find the best media, size, composition, and price.

policies and aftercare

I take great care when creating all of my pieces, however, because of the fragile nature of some, there are a few precautions I want to address.

Collages of cut paper and glue can be EXTREMELY temperamental and moody. I try to secure each piece so that it will stand up to the test of time, but every once in a while, something comes loose or breaks down. They are happiest when matted and framed under glass. I am happy to mat any piece for a small additional fee. If an issue should arise (say, your partner's eyeball falls off from insufficient glue), I will gladly cover the cost of return shipping and fix the issue. You should be nothing less than IN LOVE with your art.
